Hello all,

I ought to start with the obligatory “sorry for being lax and ignoring you” message, and make some form of excuse; but I can’t be bothered. Just to give you some updates, the site has not recieved some 1150 hits now, cheers for the look-sees, even when I wasn’t writing much, always appreciated. The official Tittwer feed (@NovaeDentes) now has some 26 followers which seems to make it a rather exclusive club atm which it needn’t be, do give it a follow, it’s really not that bad.

Last time we talked I mentioned going self hosting. As yet I’m not much further along, I think I have a provider though, and I might even have a weekend project on my hands.

Whilst I’m here, I’d get killed if I didn’t give you the link to MoGeo Photographic’s WP blog (at www.mogeophotographic.wordpress.com)  it’s quite well written and if you’ve seen the photos (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mogeophotographic) it give a good insight to the world behind them.

Well Hello all. It’s a new month and there are a number of changes that you can already see, the most obvious of which being the new logo. Stylish, and clean cut with a minimalist, yet full style. It speaks volumes about how I see the blog and it’s future.  It was designed by George at MoGeo Photograhpic (for more info check out http://www.mogeophotographic.com).  I also have a twitter feed ( unsurprisingly: @noavedentes) which will be well worth a follow as you’ll get up to date posts, as well as news on the blog itself (on a side note, my personal feed at @mnepatrick88 is also well worth the follow).

There are even more pages that are in the pipeline. The biggest of which is that I am planning to go self hosting soon. I’m doing this for a number of reasons which include: greater design flexibitliy, for while the site look ok atm, I’m keen to put a more personal slant onto it; the ability to have my own domain (which, when the time comes will more than likely be novaedentes.com or .co.uk, but more info later), which has obvious benefits for traffic and SEO potential.  And the other benefit is (perhaps sadly) monetisation.

I love writing this blog and the porcess of doing it has made me feel that I could write for a living and I’d like Novae Dentes to be part of that. Don’t worry though, ads will be small and tasteful, no po up or the like, just the odd banner ad.
